my 8th period's class

        So in 8th period i have community services. I had been going to community services for few months and it was a hell of an experience. During the few month that I have been going to community services I learned a few things. When I started this I was not happy at all because I hate doing things without earning any money. The only reason I decided to do it because I need it to graduate, however, one thing happen that made realize that I’m doing something really good. So when I went to the elderly place, I was interacting with the elderly and I notice they love the company. I can imagine them being there miserably without anyone visiting them. When the smile was on their face, it made me have a huge smile as well.
So today there was award ceremony at the YMCA, I attended just to get hours like always and not cared about anything else. One thing I noticed is when I was there that when a person win award, that same person love the most support she/he can get even though that person don’t know them all. I can imagine myself winning award and not have any there to cheer me on and motivates me to continue and never stop. I now realize I should start attending to any events there is, even if it don’t have anything involving myself.
Thanks to Tamera for inviting all too all these events and helping us to experience something new. She changed my perspective on how I see community services. Money is not the only award that matters, another one is knowing you bright someone day. That makes me feel better a person.

Free write

So right now I have 22 hours and all you need to have to 25 hours to graduate. So that like 3 Fridays. Yesterday I went to a middle school play so i can get 2 hours. I honestly did not know what was going on in the play but who cares I got my 2 hours. So in the play there was one boy who kept missing up every way possible. Like when everyone was dancing, he did it wrong like he move late and did not do it right. But it's okay no one perfect, I'm sure a lot of people would make that same mistake. But everyone else did a good job like everything was organized. Oh yeah this lady in front of me was telling me to be quiet, but i didn't listen and she was upset. Soon when the show was over Ms.Carr gave her shoutout and brought her to the stage. If I knew she was important I would of never kept talking. But it's all good I got my two hours. So  now we got to write a paper for community about what we did. Good thing it's just one page paper because that is only going to make like 10mins to do. I'm going to just write about the autism walk and this play. I'm going to pretend I love the play in my paper so she can think i love community services just as much I love doing this blog. Lying come in good hand sometimes.

Tomlin's Project

  So in Ms. Tomin class we are working on a new project. In this project we are assign our salary and credit scores. So I decided to work with Malik, so this project can be much easier. So I was assign a salary of 35,000 and have a credit scores of 700. My partner Malik making $40,000 and have a credit scores of 750. I wish i had more money but at least we making 75k a year. Also we assign ourselves a job and the location of the job. So I work in Chase bank as an account on 125th street and Malik work in St Johns as a athletic trainer. So we had to write about how do we get to work everyday. So we live on 129th Lenox ave, which makes my life much easier to get to work. So i wrote about how i just need to walk about 15mins to get to work. For Malik he had to take two trains to get to work and also walk about 10mins. He had to pay 116.50 for a monthly metro card.  Oh yeah, we have a son named Noah. Noah is 15 years old and goes to Thurgood Marshall Academy. We dont have to spend much money on him since he goes to a uniform school and lives so close. Im glad Ms. Tolin gave us the project because now i started to realize we have to spend so much money. And life is not easy when have to worried about so many bills and make sure your kid have everything he/she needs.

During this week i was working on Ms. Tomlin project. For the project we had to make our own business weather its a partnership or sole proprietorship. So i did a partner ship with Sean, Joseph and Malik and our business was a custom clothing stores. So we would sell shirts, hats and pants with any design that the customer wanted. The reason we choose this because Ms.Tomlin did not let us do our first opinion and the other reason is there is barley any stores that do that service. In this project we had to make a commercial, so we decided to make our commercial in the staircase but who cares. In the commercial we talked about how people always wearing the same clothing as others, so we influence our customer to come to "Fresco'' (Our business name) so they can be different and unique from everyone else. I felt like our commercial was successful due to the fact we got our points across. After finishing this project i learned it take lots of time and money to start a business. Business is not a easy thing to start and keep it going because you have think of some many things to make it is successful. Such as other stores that does the same services and you have to give what the people want. Oh well, good luck to those who are willing to start their own business.

What we Learned in Class

Today in class, I didn't learn anything. It's like that every day. 1st period, I have Ms.Tomlin and I came late. I hate when I come late because people always look and stare at me when I walk in. They look at me like a murdered someone. 2nd Period I have Mr.Rich. His class is really easy. Everything is so simple which is so weird because it is math. I also like this class because Mr.Rich is a cool and funny person. 3rd period I have physics. I regret taking this class. I didn't know it was going to be so difficult. I wish I had Bartoli because everyone says that they don't even do work. 4th period I have Ms.Young. She gave us a project which is weird because its a College Readiness class. In Mr.Washington's class they, go on on laptops and watch movies. I want to switch to that class. 5th period I have English and today, we cursed at each other. It was funny even though I had no idea what people were saying. After this I had art and we used ink and some fancy material to write and draw things. That was fun. That was my day.

What I learned in class

What we did in Physics class was we had to build a projectile launcher. Me, Caprice, and Brian were all in the same group and we had 2 weeks to build this project. But unfortunately what we build at first wasn't going to plan because it wasn't launching and the design was terrible. The day before we had to test our launcher we all decided to tear apart what we build and start from scratch. So within 45 minutes we actually made a new launcher and it worked. The day of the test launch Ms.Hudson was absent so Me and Caprice just made a few adjustment and the launcher was good. The day of the actual test launch Me and Brian had to do it because Caprice was feeling under the weather. Out of the 11 groups that did the project and launched we came 4th place. The lesson learned in this project was we are clutched for doing that project in 1 day. I can do anything last minute and still get a decent grade to pass the class. Some difficulty we encounter was we had all the left over materials (wood,needles, rubber bands, and strings). The main problem was we kept playing around, asking stupid question, and distracted other groups from getting their work done. Also working with close friends is the main problem as well because it's easy to get off topic and not get work done. Well at least I had fun doing this project because it was something different and never in my life I build anything like this.
